Pawan Kalyan's notable movies include Tholi Prema (1998), Thammudu (1999), Badri (2000) and Khushi (2001). He is the younger brother of popular Telugu actor and politician - Chiranjeevi and actor/producer Nagendra Babu.

Pawan Kalyan was first married to Nandini, whom he divorced on 13 August 2008 On. 28 January 2009 married Renu Desai. Desai was the female lead in his films Badri and Johnny. The couple have a son.
